September 2012 Inspirer : The Gordon Family

The Gordon Family is this month's inspiration of what it means to Keep Moving Forward. With their emotional strength and unbreakable bond as a family, they are getting through almost a year of financial and emotional hardships. Their father Greg, a soldier in Iraq, survived a recent roadside bomb and current recovery has caused medical bills to pile up while preventing his ability to work to support his family. With unconditional support from their community receiving donation over $7,000, the Gordon's are able to cover mortgage payments for the next six months without foreclosing on their house. Despite all of the recent anguishes that have confronted them the Gordon's are stronger because of it and represent to us at GoNextWorld what it means to Keep Moving Forward.

August 2012 Inspirer : Paige - written by Carolyn Suhocki

My friend Paige is such a strong and inspirational person who really makes me believe that everyone can get past the challenges and tragedies that happen in our lives. Ever since grade school she has been an amazing athlete, eventually starting on the varsity field hockey team as a freshman in high school. By junior year she became team captain and brought our team so close together, always being encouraging and having such a positive morale. During that year her mom, and number one fan, became very sick and it all happened very fast. When she passed away a few months later we expected Paige to take a break from playing, but somehow she kept it together and pushed through the rest of the season. Being the mentally strong person that she is, she said that she wants to make her mom proud of everything that she does in life and that her mom's memory is what compels her to keep going.

She ended up going to Virginia College with a full scholarship for field hockey and was just as much of an asset to their team as she was to ours in high school. Believe it or not, she is now on the women's olympic field hockey team this year in the London games.

What may have seemed impossible at one point in her life is now her reality and an unbelievable feat to accomplish. Her tragedy in life did not hold her back, but instead inspired her to KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
